That would be my first choice too (except at my own house), but the commute would be a killer.

I will be doing cleanup, setup on Friday Oct 16.

If you are available to help out, that would be great.

I would like to use a 100 yard long cable to help clear some "down, dead" trees and brush from the shooting lanes. If ya got a cable/heavy rope that long, bring it along. I don't have such a cable.

Email me through the forum for phone number.

Two-meter ham radio talk-in frequency will be 146.520 simplex.

FRS/GMRS will be determined.

Two things for me to check: 1- Will the boss-lady allow it? I'm pretty sure she's not up for primitive camping, so I'm betting if I get approved I'll be solo. 2- I've got to see if I'm the G3 on-call stooge that weekend. If I don't have to lug the damn blackberry, I should be good. I'm TDY next week, but have to swing by the office eeeaarly on Monday before I fly out, so I've already sent myself a note to check the duty roster.

I'll ask, but I'm still pretty sure she'd rather just stay home. Worth a shot though. I'm fairly certain the motel option would be a 'no', but we did a B&B in Vermont when I was home on mid-tour last year, she might be up for that.

(aside, since I know she doesn't read this forum: I kinda want to do the camping thing. If she wants to come, cool, but I'm pretty sure she's not up for roughing it...)

Well, it's a brand new, NICE motel; and the B&B is lovely. Also there's a bunch of great shopping and museums, and a few casinos near by.

Can't make it..bad timing. Looks like I'll be in the San Bernadino forest hunting Muley's and quail. Hopefully I see the big one that walked through the property July 4th while my freind and I were having dinner.

Our financial situation caused by my job loss and getting the new kitten means we won't be going THIS year. There's no way we can have those two cats in such close proximity for that long (in the RV) since they're still hissing and growling at each other.

I sure hope to have a job pretty soon.  :(

That Hope and Change thing isn't working out very well for me & my former co-workers.

Damn, Mike. I was looking forward to seeing you here too. :( Both of you as a matter of fact.

Sure hope that change thing does include a job for you and all the others that are currently "between" jobs.

The cats hissing at each other means they "care" about each other. Sooner or later they will get to the tolerate stage.

Apparently the Day's Inn in Chino Valley is now sold out for that weekend. Does anyone have a website for the B&B?
The nearest hotel/motel I can find now is in Prescott.

Thanks.

Teapot Inn

Can neither recommend or disparage this facility. It is only about a block and a half from the motel and looks nice from driving by. It has been there since before we moved to Paulden 8 years ago. I think Chris & Mel were booked here last year before they cancelled due to illness.

Did you guys all book this motel up? I have never seen more than a few vehicles parked in the parking lot out front since they opened.

If you guys all did it, this is a real "STIMULUS" package for Chino Valley.
