I've done some business with China, although not with the same level of connections as Uncle Joe's son.
Most Chinese I deal with are more concerned with profit margin than geopolitics, so I'm sharing this without any real commentary one way or the other: https://www.realclearbooks.com/articles ... 27699.html
One thing I agree with, though. With the current pre-occupation with Russia, no-one is talking about China. China is a much bigger problem if things go south like with Russia.
I haven't read "Unrestricted Warfare" by the two Chinese colonels. I'm not sure I want to buy it. Maybe I can find a PDF online. I'll share on this site if I find one.

I have Unrestricted Warfare. I haven't finished it yet, but as far as I got was illuminating. Recommended, along with Col. Thomas X. Hammes' The Sling and the Stone (not the same topic, strictly speaking, but related reading and also highly recommended).

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to add both to my reading list.MiddleAgedKen wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 10:56 pm I have Unrestricted Warfare. I found a PDF of "The Sling and the Stone". Use some anti-virus. I don't know the website: https://kupdf.net/download/the-sling-an ... 2be309_pdf
I also found a PDF of "Unrestricted Warfare". us.army site, so probably safe: https://www.armyupress.army.mil/journal ... d-warfare/
In case you are a purist, this is an abridged version derived from a translation. I may tackle this one first, before the unabridged, original translation from Chinese. I find direct translations from Chinese tend to be rather thick. Chinese doesn't translate well into English, at least with my experience reading translations of Chinese business contracts.
