As I said, it might work. It might not. I've had mixed results with several different brands and models of HTs and charging set ups over the year. I'll be interested to see if this particular set up works since I've had no experience with the low cost Chinese radios that have come out the past few years.
Good to see you have plans B and C on tap.
I just didn't want you to get discouraged if it doesn't work right off the bat. I've spent hours and hours over the years analyzing, trouble shooting and tweaking power set ups. (Let's no even get into how much time I've spent on antennas, packet/digital set up, portable station set ups...) It's all part of the fun!

Can't watch the video at work, but I have a General license. (I'm assuming you meant amateur radio operators and not licensed amateur Operational Operators?)
