I just junked a perfectly nice 2D maglite the duracells swelled and burst. Could not get them out. Finally sawed up the body. Forgot the warranty.

This is why I never spend more than 40 bucks on a flash light. The new LED tech out there means you can get something better than top-of-the-line 10 years ago for less than 50 bucks.
