Looking for a gun case

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

if the TSA agent cuts of your lock, he has violated federal law as well as committed attempted theft of a firearm and damaged your property... frankly i would LOVE to have that happen... my lawyer would put his kid through another year of college on that case.

True!

Also true!

Of course, the person who judges whether or not you 'cross the line' is the TSA agent, not you. So you also need to be prepared to 'be their bitch' until your lawyer shows up.

I'm glad you and your brother are willing to stand-up to Leviathan. More of us need to do that. As you said, what it takes is a willingness to walk away and a willingness to maybe 'be their bitch'.

Good for you! I mean that sincerely!

More of us need to be willing to take our time and money to stand up to Leviathan. Just be aware of the amount of time and money invovled, and pick your battles appropriately.

If you use products like Gunscrubber and some others the left over residue on your gun will break down the foam and leave you with a fine black (gritty) dust in your favorite firearm. For that reason I prefer the soft sided cases.

For general recreational use, Dosokil is OK. For heavy use, Pelican or KK Air/ICC. The latter will do custom work. Highly recommend the wheels, but don't get the duffel bag cases.
