Re-org safe

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Re-org safe

Post by blackeagle603 »

I think it was Xavier who blogged with a link to the Rifle rods site.

Ok, I'm going for it; placed an order for the rifle rod kit as well as handgun hangers.

I really need to reconfigure my safe. Currently 3 of my long guns are stored outside my safe. Only one side of the safe is set up for longguns currently but I am not ready to give up the shelves on the other half just yet. Efforts to fiddle w/ shelves and put other config have been less than satisfying.

Here's hoping it was money well spent on the rifle rods.
It'll be sweet if this works as well as advertised. Keep all ya'll posted...

I'm at work so no sound on.

Are these basically nylon rods with a pad at the top with velcro?
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Dowel rod, a countersunk screw, and a washer topped with velcro would work just fine.
Hmmm... interesting idea. My safe is bursting at the seams right now. Maybe I'll convert half of it to the dowel/velcro idea. I need a high shelf on one side to store my small safe. Kinda a safe-in-a-safe setup. I keep my important papers (vehicle titles, passport, etc) and cash in it so they are doubly protected in a fire.

I keep my hand guns on the door with one of those cheap over-the-door shoe holders.
