Brass tacks

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Brass tacks

Post by JKosprey »

So, I recently bought a bunch of brass tacks to help make a perch for my new hawk. I have a bunch left over. I've always liked the old west/Indian style of decorating gun stocks with brass tacks to create designs. Has anyone done this before? Anyone have a design or pattern they really like to help give inspiration?

My browser says your link is unsafe, so I didn't see that. My browser is a sissy.

I like them on the stock more than on the forearm. Probably because I imagine I wouldn't like the feel on the forearm. I like simple more than ornate. But clearly, it's a matter of personal taste.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D
