CMP 1911 pistol sales, preliminary info

Post by Rich Jordan »

Posting here in case it is of interest. It sounds like they're making it difficult to do. I know if I want a chance at one I'm going to need to re-up my 'proof of competition' for the new signups, and that is a little difficult around here any more

The first rule was not to tell anyone who doesn't visit the CMP website about the 1911 sales..... ;)

Thanks!

US Army pistols are great. I transitioned from 1911A1 to M9. I never saw the point of the M9. The 1911A1 worked fine.

Two background checks? No c&r sales? Most likely overpriced mixmaster guns?
No thanks.

I don't know, the 1911's I shot in the Nav before they switched to the M9 were all very worn. Not sure I would want one as a shooter.

For $200, I'll take one. For $1000+... nope.

That looks pretty fun.

I'll have to remember it when they get back in stock.

I've only used their parts for one build, but found them to be superior to Wilson and far more economical. Doesn't hurt they've installed the sights, staked the plunger tube and installed the ejector either. That save a bit of time and $$$ on tooling.
