Do you have to take the suppressor off to load it? Ah. Permanently attached. Comes with a brass loading tube, very long ball starter, and a 3 piece ramrod. And... speedloaders?

Is the suppressor a bitch to clean? Hm. Run hot water down it. Shoot 5 shots to dry it. But then you don't need to clean the barrel again? Very odd.

Sounds cool, but don't miss on the first shot, because you probably won't get a second.

We need MikeOTDP to weigh in on this one.

I think Silencerco may have saved themselves from the silencer sales crash.

Suppressors are already illegal in those states.

Yeah, but those are suppressors for firearms, right? It's a black-powder muzzle loader, it's not really a firearm, according to the ATF.

If you put a suppressor on something that isn't a firearm, then it's not really a suppressor, is it?

Yeah, legally this is going to be a mess in a lot of states and localities. Hence my initial reply.

Could even pose a problem in states like AK, where silencers are technically not legal, but having ATF registration for them is an "affirmative defense" to charges. If the state treats muzzle loaders like regular firearms, and no ATF registration is available, it could potentially get ugly. But it could also prompt legislatures in states with more pro-gun legislatures to finally change those laws so an asshole cop/prosecutor can't force you into court to present your affirmative defense.
