Letter from Colt
Got my authentication letter from Colt. My SAA was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. in Chicago on 17 Feb, 1899. I was hoping it was shipped here but found the records for one of the hardware stores in town are in the UTEP Library so I'm going to satisfy my curiosity. Interesting side note mentioned in the letter, the same serial number was on a 7 1/2 inch 32/20 shipped to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis on June 19, 1899.

Wow!
A weak government usually remains a servant of citizens, while a strong government usually becomes the master of its subjects.
