AR-10 Lowers

Post by Langenator »

I'm looking to get one, maybe two, SR25 pattern. Any recommendations for manufacturers?

Isn't Mega supposed to be pretty good for those?

My biggest challenge would be whether or not to start with a .308 or just go right to .338 Federal for an upper.

Same thing that I recommend to my customers:

Don't try to build an AR-10. Things get difficult, quickly. There's no industry standard, so you have be careful picking and choosing your parts. I'm not saying that it can't be done, or shouldn't be done, but it's a lot easier to get a complete one.

This is coming from a guy who has built ~10 AR-15s and only owns one factory AR-15. My AR-10 style rifle is a factory LaRue.
