Survival sheath Chest holster review

Hmm... I know I posted it before, I guess old posts are being purged...

It's OK. It's well made(ish)*. The Kydex is very, very tight -- I had to loosen the tension screws a great deal before I could even draw the gun -- but, I have no concern about not having a thumb break in this chest holster.

As for design... The spare mag holder needs some way of being fixed in place. It doesn't really need to be able to slide around, as frankly, the only place you'd want it is on strap that encircles your chest, on the strong side of the holster, and in front of your arm.

It's comfortable sitting down, but moving around, etc makes the strap that goes around your shoulder want to slip down -- it's more comfortable, for me, the closer that strap is to my neck (essentially, it keeps wanting to go down off my trap, and into the divot between my trap and deltoid.)

To draw takes a high, firm pull, but it does work -- it'll never happen in close quarters, but it's not a holster for that purpose -- I have a chest holster for my Ruger Alaskan for that purpose -- also, w.o. a thumb break, but I haven't really tried wearing it much, yet.

It doesn't interfere w. arm movement at all, so that's a big plus.

The spare mag holder doesn't fit my reloads w. the extended grip on them, (Mea culpa, as I don't believe I mentioned I was putting a grip extender, just that I used G20 mags for reloads), but a longer flap/removing the grip extender would make it work. As it is now, it'll almost hold a reload, but not securely enough to be trusted. I'll probably order some more mags w.o. the grip extender.

*Some of the stitching on the spare mag holster could have been straighter, but that's really just aesthetics.

Here is the link to the ones on the website. Let me know what other pics you need, and I shall try to take some - almost guaranteed to be out of focus, however.
