Probably quite a few, delivered via B-17 and Ju-88, respectively. :P

But speaking of planes, that's what these bullets were developed for. It's a lot easier to tell if you're hitting an enemy plane when the bullets hit it and explode, so a bullet like this might be put on a belt with AP, incendiary and/or tracer ammo.

IIRC, they're considered destructive devices since they explode rather than burn.
