If the Smith has a model number it would be OK to load +P for self defense (and never shot hopefully).
Speer Gold Dot short barrel would get my nod.

Was browsing the internets for ammo recently, saw something and thought of you.

Ammo is starting to come back. .38 spec is available and isn't grossly expensive. Of particular note are the Hornady Critical Defense 110gr in +p and standard pressures, and the 125gr Gold Dot +p.

I'm particularly fond of SGAmmo because they sell defense ammo in the 50 round 'LE' boxes, their prices are good and I've never had a problem with an order from them.

Outstanding! Many thanks.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.
