HP expansion methods

Post by mekender »

what would be the cheapest and easiest way to make hollow points expand... what i am looking for is an easily repeatable way to create multiple expended rounds... water jugs would suck because of them not being reusable... phone books are a possibility... meat is expensive as is gel...

what about a water chamber like what you see on some of the TV crime shows?

Er, how many expanded bullets do you need? BTW, how do those water chambers work?

Do you know anyone with an above ground pool? ;)

Tam had a post about using a 55 gallon drum as a water stop.
My favorite story of his ended with "...and so he went out the back door in his bathrobe, flipped the AK to 'Afrikaner', and started hosing the baboons off his tennis court." - Tam

I've split a 55 gal barrel/drum or three over the years.
And you will get soaked.

If you can find the pool, it's the easiest and least agravating.

Wear your poncho unless you're gonna be the one diving for the expended rounds.

Once you know whatever you're using is going to work, you can help keep yourself from getting soaked by anchoring an unopened heavy-duty garbage-bag liner across the opening and shooting through it into the water. You can have more fun by putting pictures or painting something on the liner to shoot. Shoot a happy face!
