That much? Wow. Suddenly Inmotions 200Gb/2000Gb bandwidth for $5/month starts to look cheap.
A 'deal' like that on hosting is the internet shady-sales equivalent of the guy on the street corner selling "rolexes" out of his trench-coat. The entire business model of that kind of shared hosting is that they crank the limits up to huge numbers to draw in [strike]suckers[/strike] customers, and then count on them to not use all their bandwidth, and to slap on other kinds of limiting to prevent it, like restrictions on sizes of databases, CPU time, memory usage, etc.

Well, Inmotion and most of the other major webhosting services(Godaddy, Bluehost, etc) all seem to have very similar packages.

I don't know about CPU nor memory limitations, but yes, they do limit MySQL databases(in this case, to 2). Keep in mind, that this is aimed at personal webpages/websites.

They do have Business plans that dramatically increase the database limits - For $9/month, it jumps to 50

Dreamhost is one of the biggest offenders of overselling... but it really is a numbers game.

We don't oversell on our hosting... hell, we actually charge our customers by the mbit for bandwidth, particularly since most are 1) businesses and 2) we actually have enough bandwidth capacity for everyone to saturate their pipes, with a little room to burst on top.
