You can drill someone in the chest with a broadhead and not get charged with attempted murder? Hmm...

Should be two citizens. The cop is a civilian too.

That's the first charge, probably for pointing the bow/arrow at the cops.
Most likely many more charges to follow.

Often, the suspect isn't "arrested" in a situation like this until their release from the hospital. That way the taxpayers don't have to pay for the medical care. But they are monitored and supervised until they are well enough to be arrested and/or charged.

In this age of repeating firearms, not generally a good idea to bring a bow and arrow to a gunfight.

Wonder if she had the string drawn back? That could a be a tricky situation to fire on somebody holding a drawn bow...

Especially if it's a compound bow with a broadhead pointing at your mid-section.

That's easy. Just shoot the bow. No bow, the arrow doesn't fly. They shoot guns out of the hands of bad guys on TV all the time, a bow should be easier to hit.

Makes me wonder just how fast a typical broadhead would zip through a standard police soft-body-armor 'without trauma plate' vest. My guess, not very long at all.

a broad head would tear through Kevlar without any real resistance... you know the old saying of butter and hot knives... yea, kinda like that
