Mississippi hold-up ends when victim shoots, kills one of his robbers
Published May 17, 2015 - FoxNews.com

The victim of a harrowing gunpoint robbery in Mississippi on Saturday grabbed a gun out of his truck and opened fire, killing one robber and sending the other fleeing.

Jackson Police said the victim turned the tables on a pair of robbers after he was robbed of his wallet and forced to drive to an ATM to get money, Mississippi News Now reported.

Police found the body of robbery suspect Edwin Robinson, 23, on Pinewood Drive, a residential street in northeast Jackson. They said the shooting appeared justified.

“I heard about six gunshots at about 6:30 a.m., went to let one of my dogs out and heard some more gunshots,” a resident told the station. “We saw people standing around, and a body and a truck.”

The station said the victim of the stick-up was a doctor. He was not hurt.

Police told the station the doctor was in the driveway of his home when Robinson and another man surprised him. They had guns and announced a robbery.

Police said the robbers forced the victim into his home to get his wallet. Then they forced him in his own Toyota truck to drive to a local ATM.

Robinson was killed not far from the doctor's house.

The doctor retrieved his gun from the truck after one of the robbers then threatened to go back to the doctor’s house to harm his wife, police said.

Mississippi News Now said the robber who fled was wearing a bandanna. He was believed driving a tan SUV with no tags.
And then there's this story of the same incident:

Thugs try to rob a competitive shooter and gravely pay for it.

Jackson has one dead thug on the streets today as a robbery attempt in Northeast Jackson went awry.

A doctor was leaving home to compete in a shooting competition held at Magnolia Pistol Range in Byram at approximately 7:45 AM today. He made several trips from the house to his truck carrying what he needed for the competition. Unknown to him, two black males were cruising Ridgewood Road looking for someone to rob. They happened upon him walking to his truck near the intestection Ridgewood and Eastover roads. They took him captive at gunpoint and forced him drive to an ATM and withdraw a large amount of money. They also mentioned some intentions concerning his wife who was back at home. Intentions that were not exactly nice in nature.

They stopped at Eastover and Pinewood. They told him to get out of the vehicle. The good Doc managed to grab a pistol as he exited the truck and began firing. He shot and killed an Edwin Robinson of Cooper Road. One person at the scene said "he shot the shit out of him". The other suspect managed to run away and is currently at-large. It should be noted that there are woods on one side of the road. The suspect apparently had parked a tan SUV over at Northminister Baptist Church. He ran to the church and left in the SUV. It did not have a license plate.

JJ is withholding the identity of the victim at this time.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Well Done, Doc!
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

It's always heart-warming to read candid commentary about victims turning the tables on thugs: "he shot the shit out of him".

Oh, hell to the yes on that.
If you're going to shoot someone, that's how it should be described.

He takes a time penalty for failing to engage the second reactive target, though.
