Statistically, I have found that shooting at something is much more effective than not shooting at it. Statistically.

Interestingly in NM lots of the guys up in Chama are using the .22 magnums to poach elk.

A semi-auto rifle in .22Mag is a poachers' favourite over here... light and quiet, but those little bullets do a surprising amount of damage if you place them right.

A regular .22 LR is the deer poacher's favorite around here.

This is one reason I didn't want to go with the Sierra Club to camp in Alaska.
I wasn't sure I wouldn't be the slowest in the pack, and I didn't want to forfeit any bit of advantage to GFW bylaws and go unarmed.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
