Get'cher Handmade Leather Saps, right here.

Deadline for Christmas is December 13th. I remember old-time cops carrying these things and they seemed awfully...brutal.

Now, if only I could find a "book weight" for my friend in NYC...

Enjoy. That'n looks purdy.

I'd have to check the finer points of the CaPC here, but IIRC those are a felony simply to be found in possession of hereabouts.

Yeah, apparently Georgia has a problem with 'em, too.

CA Penal Code
22210. ...any person
in this state who manufactures or causes to be manufactured, imports
into the state, keeps for sale, or offers or exposes for sale, or who
gives, lends, or possesses any leaded cane, or any instrument or
weapon of the kind commonly known as a billy, blackjack, sandbag,
sandclub, sap, or slungshot, is punishable by imprisonment in a
county jail not exceeding one year or in the state prison.
{Yup, that'd be a felony then.}

22290. ...any leaded cane or any instrument or weapon of the kind
commonly known as a billy, blackjack, sandbag, sandclub, sap, or
slungshot is a nuisance and is subject to [destruction by the authorities].
Yeah, they seem a bit touchy about them here too.
Pass.

But the oxblood coloring on that one would simplify cleanup afterwards a decent bit.
For those of you who live in free states, those folks seem to be doing bretty good quality leather work there.

Hmmm, nice form factor for a custom belt pouch for a large lockblade or keywad.

I know for a fact they're illegal in NY. I'm 99% sure they're illegal in NJ too. PA, I believe they're legal to own, but not to carry.

Perfectly legal in KY and covered by my CCDW. Love living in a free state.

But we're so much safer with those dangerous weapons off the streets.....

Which brings up the question of what one could carry that would accomplish the same thing, but be innocuous enough to pass scrutiny if seen by a constable?
