They just discovered an airplane wing in the elevator pit about 90 seconds ago.

Appears to be a Hellcat instead of the Helldiver that the Navy records said it would be.

Incredible, right as they were going to hand it off to the midnight-8AM (PST) crew for a methodological mapping of the wreck, they were able to drop the ROV down the stern, below the 5" gun tub and reveal the ships name still visible in the hull.

That's pretty cool. I was watching a bit last night when they were looking at the bow and "christmas tree". It looks like they're mapping the deck this morning.
