Yup. Last time I was there I saw more outside displays than inside and there were frikkin' starlings nested in the intakes of the B1A! Glad to see the AF spent a few tax dollars on the right way to display our heritage INDOORS, out of the elements!
I'm not old--It's too early to be this late.

So it's worth seeing? I'm only a couple of hours from Dayton.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Actually, I believe the new gallery (most of the construction in recent years) has been through fund raising and donations. Of course they don't have to pay for rent on the property and the external security is pretty well taken care of as well.

Yes. It's been a while since I did a full tour (while the Missile and Space gallery was being built). Been out several times for specific parts and to work the AF Marathon the past few years.

The new (4th) gallery (where the XB-70 was just installed) will open to the public this coming June. Plan on spending the day there.

Website

Drop me a line if you come up. I can always use an excuse to go out there.

Definitely. Spent an entire day there once and didn't see everything. Need to go again sometime.

The only problem is that Dayton itself is horrible.

Oh, yeah, it's worth seeing. The last time I was there, in the late '70s, I took my Dad when he came up to visit me at Knox. That was over 30 years ago, and it was a slammin'-jammin' museum then. I can't imagine what they've done to it since then.
