In what way? The guns seem to make lots of fires, but the seem to be quite fragile.

Just to give you guys who are having trouble with BBs an idea of how a good game can go I'll share how I got that really good battle in my Colorado. It was on the hot spot map and both teams in my part of the map were headed towards the outside part of one of the islands. Knowing what was about to happen I kept my Colorado at a high angle to the enemies path of approach, my ship just sideways enough to have all my guns unmasked. A Pensacola or came around the headland it's broadside perpendicular to my guns, and I opened up, sinking him in one salvo.

Following him where several more ships, including two Clevelands and a Kongo. Things got pretty confused from there, but I recall that we were pretty outnumbered so I turned the rear of my ship towards the enemy and moved away. While doing this I kept my guns all pointed just off to one side and would slide over when they reloaded to unmask my forward guns. The Kongo kept trying to hit my with AP, which was a bad idea given my angling, but my heavier guns were able to go through his armor and I got him. By this point though I had been set on fire and heavily damaged by the two Clevelands.

I managed to control the fire damage and was able to sink each of them by waiting until the showed their sides to me while maneuvering to avoid shells from other ships. The key here was to predict their turns a bit. Having sunk them I then engaged a damaged but in much better shape Colorado that had come over from another part of the map. Given our similar armor and range I chose to load HE and angle while he tried to use AP. Another ship and I were able to burn him down while I took minimal damage from his close in AP broadsides. The Colorado was the last enemy ship and that was my first victory of the day on i think a bonus weekend so I got a ton of points for it.

Anyway the lessons here are to always angle and use the right ammo for the right target and situation. Generally a BB can use AP against any cruisers they may face. Against BBs generally you want to use AP but if the opposing BB is of a similar tier or higher and is angled HE is a better bet. Carriers are tricky. At lower levels AP will usually just go right through them, while HE will light them on fire and make it so they can't launch or recover planes. Later on though they get a bit tougher and while HE will still work, AP can often be used to citadel them for lots of damage. DDs of course always get HE.

That first one seems to have worked, not the second though. Thanks a bunch. Need more port slots for the German tree.

Edit: I read that that second code was for Tanks and not planes, but that the time would carry over.

Aye, it was apparently limited to the first 25,000 and got used up before I could get it put in.
