Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay) Concert shooting

Post by blackeagle603 »

Dear Lord...

Route 91 Harvest country music festival
Initial reports of 50 dead, 400+ sent to hospital.

Believed to be a lone shooter. Dead in his hotel room.

I see the media wasted no time whatsoever declaring this the deadliest shooting in US history and naming the shooter.

Congrats, fuckers. You gave him everything he ever wanted. Again.

Despite their usual pattern, I was having a hard time finding a *picture* of the guy. Usually they plaster that everywhere. Which tells me he doesn't look white.

The media seems to be playing this as "just a crazy guy, no connection to anything at all", which is so out of character for them, so different from their usual urges to wallow in the blood and push 'right wing NRA terrorism' narratives, that they must *know* the guy is one of theirs. Like the Scalise shooter.
Maybe we're just jaded, but your villainy is not particularly impressive. -Ennesby

For those of you who know who she is, Julie Dall of Western Australia is visiting the states. She was in Vegas, but left on Saturday. She is okay.

Well, the guy did light up a pop country concert.

EDIT: Cops identified him as white.

Sounded like an AK-based auto to me, slower rate like a RPK perhaps? Sounded like he was doing mag swaps every 30-40 rounds.

First reports I read this morning indicated that the perp had a long history of legal and psychiatric issues. I suspect they will find that he all the firearms he had were illegally obtained (or through a straw purchase - same thing).

Update - now they are saying no record, so as always the first word is always wrong:
Local police have provided some information about Stephen Paddock, the gunman in the shooting. Paddock, 64, lived in Mesquite, Nev., some 80 miles away from Las Vegas. He had no criminal record, and police had only cited him for a traffic violation. Paddock had reportedly been staying in the hotel since Thursday, and police say they found at least ten firearms in his room. His brother Eric told the Orlando Sentinel that he is “completely dumbfounded.”

Guess it took awhile for the media to find and confirm pics, because they're everywhere now.
