Well, what a beautiful, duty-bound citizen.

Raise your hands: How many here would have said "Finders keepers"?
I'd rather not risk the ten years Federal if they turn out to be hot.
How would anyone determine that?

You don't parade them around, you don't get stupid and try to *sell* them. You, uh, clean them up a little. Then you have, um, low profile emergency supplies for whatever contingency.

My first thought would be "sting operation"
HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat

And if you use one in self-defense?

You would hopefully be alive to explain how you got it?

If any of my firearms were lost/stolen and then found, I would want them back and would hope that they would be turned in for such a purpose. I think if I found one I would do with it what I would want done with mine.

No. If you use one in self defense and anyone could prove you were there, you're doing it wrong.

It wouldn't be a carry piece. That's parading it around.

Rather, think more 'drop piece', 'leave the gun, take the canoli'. SHTF reserve.

Well, yeah. But that wasn't really the point I was making.

Of course. I agree with what you said, I just needed somewhere to jump back into the conversation. I got lazy because it's hard to edit text on a touchscreen. :)
