Here's a list of historical photos, from WWII, and around the world. Fascinating stuff!

I haven't looked at all of them yet... I was struck by the ones of the deputy mayor of Leipzig, his wife and their daughter, all taking cyanide before the Americans or Russians showed up. I could understand worrying about the Russians, but I didn't think the Americans had such a bad reputation in the late stages of the war.

I have several photo albums of B&W photos my grandparents took in China before the US's involvement in the war. Some of the photos show Japanese beheading Chinese with a sword (including one with a Chinese head a couple feet from it's neck). These were all taken during the 1930's and a few during early/mid 1940's.

None of my other family members has any desire for these photos, including my younger brother's kids. Photos are all: "Old School"!!!! ;)

I have some B&W photos an uncle took in New Guinea during WWII. US forces were visiting a native village, the people were very fierce looking, bones in noses, the whole nine yards. I wouldn't be surprised if they were cannibals.

You should seriously consider donating them to a WWII museum or to the national archives before they are lost forever. If they were taken by family members, they may be the only copies in existence.

I have, but also need to check with various family members before I give them up (even though I doubt anyone would complain).

Mike, make sure you scan them or make copies before donating them.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.
