To paraphrase Lenin's quote "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them," our progressive leaders go even further than that. They give away the tools for their and their people's demise; "selling" is too bourgeois.

It seems most of the terrorists didn't have to worry about putting bread on their table, so they had plenty of time to work on other stuff. As the old saying goes, "idle hands are the Devil's workshop".
Furthermore, my bet is that part of the money used to make devices and rent trucks came from their "assistance payments."
