Yeah... Note to those with delusions of militia grandeur... When you've lost even Vanderboegh, it's time to pack it up and go home.

Not going to end well and a lot of people are going to get hurt. This time, they brought it on themselves.

Yeah you can't get away with Occupy-style shenanigans unless the media, the police, the courts and local government are sympathetic to your cause.

He seems to think this will make it easier to play spot the feds, as they're the ones that will survive.

Looks like the beef might be legitimate. As for whether it is any of their business, Ben Franklin said something about hanging together vs hanging separately.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Not withstanding the silliness potentially involved, how can the father and son serve IN COMPLETE their sentences THEN be told oops we are going to sentence you AGAIN for way more time.

I realize that if they were sentenced to 5 years and accidentally let out early they go back. Here, they were sentenced to 3 months and 1 year which they served and were released.

Bundy 2.0??

You mean some crooked millionaire has convinced the dregs of humanity with guns to help him illegally squat on public land by crying "[strike]Wolf![/strike] Evil Big Government!", and a small herd of palookas are about to get creamed?

Cool. Send them reinforcements, while I go get a case of Orville Redenbacher's finest assortment. 8-)

When someone gets serious, they'll be visiting the local federal building. En masse. Give a holler then; I'll get my coat and banjo.
Until then, this is like watching the Iran-Iraq War, and puzzling over which side to root against.

Yeah, this. And the charges they were convicted of in the first place sound like almost total bullshit as well. It should also be noted, that they want no part of the militia antics, and have told them to go home.

Dwight Hammond, 73, and his son Steven, 46, were sentenced to five years in prison in October for illegally setting fires on U.S. Bureau of Land Management property near Diamond, Oregon. Both men already served time for the offense, which involved setting fires that spread to government lands they leased to graze cattle, but another judge ruled that both must go back to prison because their initial sentence was too short.
