MarkD's letter to moderate Muslims (first draft, I'm perfectly willing to adjust as needed or suggested):

I keep hearing about how most Muslims aren't Jihadis, and I hope to God that's true. It's time to show it. It's time to do what the Roman Catholic laity (who provide ALL the money to keep the institution functioning) did amid the scandal surrounding pedophile priests, to wit "Put a screeching whoa to this crap, or we'll take our time, treasure and talents elsewhere". Now even the MSN can't find enough priestly misconduct to warrant a weekly headline.

Your Iman preaches Jihad? Get up, walk out, and stop payment on the check. You find out your neighbors are planning an attack? Turn their asses in. In other words act like any decent human being ought to in the face of jihad and terrorism.

In simple terms, get all your crap in one container. If it truly IS a minority that are waging war on Western civilization, they can only do so with the tacit acceptance, or at least non-interference of the majority. It's said that a radical Muslim wants to cut your throat, and a moderate Muslim wants the radical Muslim to cut your throat. It's time to prove that statement false. Assuming of course that it is, and that's what we're about to find out.

So if the leader of your mosque preaches Jihad, we just may have to drop a bomb on it. If you, your wives, children and goats are inside it, too bad, so sad. You lie down with dogs you get up with fleas. You should have shut that crap down when you had the chance, instead of forcing US to do your job for you. While we're at it, nice Mecca and Medina you have there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it.

You keep saying the West is on another Crusade. I hate to tell you this, but if that were true in this day and age Islam would have gone the way of the followers of Osiris. Don't MAKE us go Crusades on you, unless you really WANT to find out if God is on your side. You may well get a chance to ask Him yourself.

You want to come live here and practice your faith? Great, that's what America's all about! Your women want to dress in black bags, you want to refrain from bacon and alcohol, you want to bow toward Mecca umpteen times a day, there's not an American who will stop you. Until you start insisting that we do the same, or be killed or enslaved. THEN we have a problem. A problem you don't want.

Your call. We'd rather you saw sense. We'd much rather not have to go to a foreign land and stomp a mud puddle in some would-be dictator's ass and walk it dry AGAIN. We've got fish to catch, deer to shoot, steaks to grill, football to watch and beer/scotch/bourbon to drink. We like it here, we like the lives we've built for ourselves, and would rather not have to keep leaving this place that's about as close to perfect as human endeavor can make to go to some ass crack of the world to show the rest of the world how it's done. AGAIN.

Oh, if we DO have to do it again, we won't be nation building. We'll be clear-cutting. We'll be depopulating territory so decent civilized people can move there and set up life. People we can deal with like civilized people, buying and selling, trading, compromising, agreeing or agreeing to disagree. We're a live-and-let-live kind of people. When that only goes one way, if you tell us one of us has to die, all I can say it we're perfectly capable of choosing both the winner and loser.

Bravo! If they keep asking for a Crusade, they will probably get one.

Now we just need the US State Department to deliver the letter,........ oh, wait.

How about a major newspaper to full-page print it? Hmmmm,....

Sky-write it in Arabic with F-22s over the Middle-East.

Hey, c'mon now. The moderate Muslims will be along any second to tell us how Islam is a religion of peace, and they only want the radical Muslims to cut our heads off for them.

That's what bugs me. If you go to church more often than Christmas and Easter, or you go to a church that won't marry two men, you're JUST like Westboro Baptist Church. But if you practice a religion where the most obvious practitioners are suicide bombers, jihadis, and people (using the term loosely) who fly airplanes into buildings, you ought not be judged by the actions of the radicals.

Screw that. Take control of your radicals, or get turned into a pink mist along with them.

Harshly worded message to follow. High explosives to follow that.

Since 9/11, I have only heard TWO American Imams denounce terrorism in the name of Islam, both on talk radio. I have NEVER seen American Muslims peacefully march with signs saying they don't support terrorism committed in the name of their religion. That speaks volumes.

"We Haf zee nuclear weapons. Now would be a good time to use them" Hinted someone in France.
Martine Le Pen's party is getting frisky and clashed with the goody, goody's.
"Hollande makes Obama look like a cheese eating amateur."
Two US States are rejecting the placement of Muslim refuges.
"We should take in Christian refugees but not Muslim's.
When Eisenhower was faced with a flood of "immigrants" from Mexico he put a general friend of his in charge. He put anybody who didn't want to arrest illegals on a post out in the middle of nowhere. Then sent the illegals by ship to Vera Cruz. It was a long trip from there to the US border. Word got around and the flood stopped.
You don't have to nab them all you just have to cut off the gravy. If you just nab one out of a 100 and ship them on some nasty cattle boat to some third world country where they are in danger of getting eaten it will make them nervous about being illegal.

And speaking of Sweden, when this is your government, no wonder they are letting the barbarians fuck their women at will. And of course, the "Academic" who's work they are using to justify it is from the University of Louisville...

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Welp.

As BDK pointed out, securing the border would be an excellent start. On that note, we don't have to take in Syrian refugees and we shouldn't. There's a laundry list of things we should be doing but aren't, and things we shouldn't be doing yet we keep doing them. These lists have remained largely unchanged under two presidents. We should get going on them.

We have a major advantage in being a comparatively well-armed society. Just ask Interpol. Or look back to the shooting in Texas.

We don't have to be Nazis. We have options. There's just no quick-and-easy Michael Bay ending.

The first half is very weak, but the second half works. The problem is the difference between Catholic hierarchy and the complete lack of a Muslim one. If the Catholic Church does something the laypeople don't like, and they stay home and don't tithe, the whole church feels it. If some mosque is run by a douchebag on the other side of the country, only the people who go there know about it. Plus, the main donation source to radical clerics is Saudi princes. Also, the use of "jihad" where you mean extremism and/or terrorism. That word means a different thing to your audience than it does to you.

Finally, as satisfying as it might be to threaten Mecca and Medina, it weakens your message. You want to make it clear that these are undesirable consequences that can occur if they don't step up, not that you're ranting about vaporizing all they know and love with one hand in your pants. If you want to talk to them rather than at them, anyway. You'll probably wanna take out the crack about goats if you want to be serious.

"Local Man Thinks Terrorism is Bad" doesn't really grab the front page. And despite how it occurs with predictable regularity overseas, "Local Man Blown Up by Assholes Supposedly Sharing His Religion for Thinking Terrorism is Bad" makes the news even less.
