Eh... I can actually see that, depending on the legal status of a recruiting station.

Military facilities like recruiting stations are legally identical to a starbucks. The host mall gets to set firearm policy.

Just an addendum. The count from this is now five. The sailor shot died of his injuries.

God Damn it. Nothing sours the "already highly trained and safe" argument like some jackass having an ND immediately after calls to arm service-members begin again in earnest.

if it wasn't for the fact he was injured, you'd almost have to wonder about the timing of the incident.

Of course there's the "Never attribute to enemy action that which can be explained by stupidity" thing.

Shooter was Palestinian, by way of Kuwait. You may remember Kuwait ran all their Palestinians out.

The father of one of the Marines killed was on the local radio because he and his family lived in the area for many years... The father describes how his daughter in law had to explain to his grand kids that daddy would not be coming home because he was killed by a really, really bad man... Guy serves 2 tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan only to run out of luck a few miles from his home.

Many more widow's and kid's stories like that happen and some will gain traction... When that happens, I fully expect that the line between will and should is going to get really, really narrow, you know as in easily jumped across.

Interesting to note that a lot of people across the South mainly, have taken to "guarding" the recruiting stations. I'm pretty sure that's one of the "feel-good" ideas to show support. What's MORE interesting is the number of states that have decided to arm their National Guard recruiters and Florida went so far as to say, recruit folks at the Armory, which actually is a pretty good idea.
