I do not condone what happened. The whole Antifa crowd has been begging for it, though, and they finally got it back in spades.

I suspect Terry McCauliffe , Virginia governor and longtime Clinton operative, had a hand in orders to remove police before things really got frosty. The Dems are dancing in the blood, of course, and using it to beat Trump & Co. over the head.

Remember all those people saying it is ok to punch a Nazis... Well this is what happens when you follow that logic and the other side responds. I am more than happy to watch a war between these two foolish factions. Iran/Iraq, Bolsheviks/Menshevik, etc and me with the popcorn.

Now what I want to see is the media cover it like the guy at Duke that ran down people with his car or the one in Nice, France. One day and done, cus... you know why (cough, religion, cough).

Or the GOP Congressmen shooting spree. How the FBI supposedly claimed that the Bernie bro had no political motive for it... sure.

Not going to happen...

According to the ACLU, the city police had orders not to intervene, so, you are probably onto something.

Actually, this was Virginia.

So, can someone in the mainstream media explain to me how this isn't a case of Communists having a meeting and a bunch of Brownshirts come and bust some heads while the police stand idly by? I also would not mind if the "Anti"fascists fought the skinheads, Nazis and race supremacists to the death like the Killkenny cats, but that isn't how it will be reported in the media.

This riot in Charlottesville looks more like the International Socialists and the National Socialists brawling in the streets of Germany, with the Antifa in the role of the SA busting up meetings of their political opponents.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

This^. A lady in my office asked me to explain what was going on, and that's almost exactly how I explained it.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

I get the feeling both sides were played. And the real winner isn't us.

I simply cannot even watch the news anymore. I'm maybe checking in with FB once in the evenings, though now seems as good a time as any to just do away with it. It's little more at this point than a data mining op with user liabilities.

A German friend made mention the other day that the Nazi title was "hard won" in Germany. I think his point was "Look, we did this thing, we paid for it, we don't like it, stop using it". He did offer that National Socialists were not Global Socialists and opined that maybe American idiots should use the term "Globzi". He just flatly confused many when he was talking about National Socialists. Our Socialists don't believe their Socialists were Socialists despite their Socialists calling themselves Socialists and enacting Socialist's policies. They must have meant something else.

FWIW, I don't have a dog in the fight on the statues thing. I remember my Grandfather, back in the 70's even, telling me he was amazed that the statues in New Orleans had lasted that long. Democrats erasing Democrat history I guess. You can't go into New Orleans anymore without taking your life into your hands. The per capita murder rate has gone absolutely bonkers. The pump stations are, apparently, mostly broken down (what's new???) and NOPD is facing it's usual budget meltdowns. The State AG had developed a Task Force to lend a hand with crime fighting in the city, but NOLA's Mayor got that shut down. The city is circling the bowl, but at least we got those dangerous, evil statues pulled down. Priorities, I guess, because you can't pin it down with any type of logic.

I'll believe they're in this fighting racism, though, when they're pulling down statues of FDR.

And the majority of it is black on black crime, usually drug related.

The news media views it like this:

Black perp kills black perp: not newsworthy
Black perp kills other ethnicity perp: maybe newsworthy.
Other ethnicity(perp or Joe/Jane Sixpack) kills black perp: newsworthy.
Black officer shoots black perp: newsworthy
Black officer shoots other ethnicity perp: maybe newsworthy
Other ethnicity officer shoots other ethnicity: maybe newsworthy
Other ethnicity officer shoots black perp: VERY newsworthy.

You just can't make this shit up.........................
