Voting is that important. It's so important I resolved at age 18 to vote every time, considering that so much time, money, and effort has been made to keep the electorate uninformed misinformed, and too discouraged to vote.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
