Splendid. Surprising to see in the linked article that the NRA would mention a "parting shot". Shottists ought to know it's a "Parthian" shot.

They probably do know and just don't want to have to explain it. Not sure if that was the actual derivation of the "parting shot" expression anyway, or if it was just another Cooperism.
