Re: Gorsuch for SCOTUS
If the first few articles I've read about him are even remotely true, that's a huge sigh of relief. I'm sure we'll hear more about his history of rulings as time goes on.

Agreed. While he went there some time ago, it seems now that it just means you have money/connections to go there.slowpoke wrote:The only noy problem I have with him is he went to harvard.

It's now confirmed: According to all reliable sources Gorsuch has red skin, horns, hooves and barbed tail. Gad, this is absolutely yuuuge fun.....

now it is going to be fun seeing more hippie tears and rending of cloth. Fun to see the demonrats protest and boycott the process. Kinda scared that the retardicans will not use the Harry Reid gift of the nuclear option to override the demonrat vote boycott. But eventually it will figure itself out. I do know if the retardicans implode and allow Schumer to scuttle nominee's, they are a dead political animal (retardicans).

Actually, he went to Columbia, Harvard Law, and Oxford for a PhD.slowpoke wrote:The only noy problem I have with him is he went to harvard.
It's not Harvard Law per se that bugs me, it's the fact that the entire SCOTUS is composed entirely of Harvard Law and Yale Law products.
The Ivy League monoculture isn't necessarily healthy. I was personally hoping for Eugene Volokh of UCLA.

Re: Gorsuch for SCOTUS
The court is massively harvard grads and catholic. One Jew and one Yalie excepted. Its not diverse at all. I would like a non lawyer personally. It used to be purely bar passage, its only lately law school became required to practice law. But really why is one third of the federal government monopolized by one profession, and one school of it as well?Langenator wrote:Actually, he went to Columbia, Harvard Law, and Oxford for a PhD.slowpoke wrote:The only noy problem I have with him is he went to harvard.
