Inaguration--possible left riots

Post by Precision »

https://www.yahoo.com/news/protests-aim ... soc_trk=tw
"Protesters will attempt to close down 12 security checkpoints at the U.S. Capitol, where Trump will take the oath of office on Jan. 20, and along the 2.5-mile (4-km) parade route down Pennsylvania Avenue, according to leaders of a group called DisruptJ20.

"We want to shut down the inauguration," organizer David Thurston told a news conference. "We want to see a seething rebellion develop in this city and across the country."
How should the Capital Police, Secret Service and other related groups deal with this?

My thought is to peacefully, but actively bar them from blockading traffic etc. If they refuse to be contained, then what. Batons and arrests? Water cannon and tear gas. It seems like that is the video clip they want.

A whiff of grapeshot, perhaps?

I'm thinking the snipers everywhere are thinking "target rich environment" while the planning group is thinking water cannons and massive amounts of pepper spray. If the anarchists get truly violent, that "whiff of grape" would be totally appropriate. Consider it the "chlorination of the gene pool".
one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.

Not that I don't think a whiff of grapeshot is unwarranted; but, that might set off widespread civil unrest.

If we get widespread civil unrest, that will lead the Sharpton, Farrakhan accolytes to get truly unruly. If they get going that way, there will be more than a fair share of dead innocents, then a fair share of summary street justice. Which could in turn lead to wider clashes... not that it wouldn't be a good thing eventually, but quite disruptive and our first non-peaceful power transferal. Something the Left seems hell bent on creating.

We will see. Only a week to go.

I don't think Sharpton has still paid his taxes. Shouldn't he get the Wesley Snipes treatment?

Trucks with water cannons, and BIG speakers. The tanks of water have large amounts of indelible ink added. "You have thirty seconds to disperse." Anyone who shows up at the hospital purple, with an injury, is arrested. They will be treated at the jail, by the very overworked, and not particularly skillful, duty physician. AND treated to a thorough cavity search and delousing. The organizers should be immediately imprisoned for sedition and incitement. Rioters deserve whatever happens to them.

It's one thing to stir up the mob in some inner city, it's another to screw with the Secret Service.

I think it will be like most of the crazy "we're gonna protest something with tons of people" things. Lots of talk. A few bored people with signs and a few idiots quietly being escorted away.

Whatever happens, I hope they have their asses handed to them. Those nifty directional sound crowd control devices seen on Futureweapons that the Army uses would be great. There's just no excuse for the violent, rowdy behavior they are planning.
