I won't say that we should do something about this, send in the troops. In this modern world of ours, no one who can read and write can honestly claim they could not have known what happens to a country that goes over to socialism and dictatorship. Chavez was an army officer who previously tried to take over by armed coup and failed and had to flee the country for a while. He did treason and they didn't hunt him down and kill him. They let him come back alive.
And then they voted for him.
What happens in that land now is nothing more or less than what they as a people deserve. They had a free country and they had a decent economy and they voted to end it. And if they want their current hell on earth to end, let them end it themselves no matter how bloody it gets. They sure as hell don't deserve for us or anyone else donating blood to save them from it.
And yeah, it goes the same for us. If our govt. keeps going wrong and we don't throw them out as the Founders knew would someday be needed, then we deserve what we get.
