So, it's illegal. The prosecutor has decided to investigate illegal activity. That's what prosecutors do.

And, we can be pissed off that the prosecutor is charging someone under the law.

Would it not be better to change the law, so that other folks aren't charged with the same offense? I'm pretty sure that this went through the legislature in the last several years, because "sexting" wasn't even a thing, twenty years ago. It's not like it's some arcane law that's been on the books for decades.

Granted, the prosecutor has wide discretion on charging an offense, but the legislature has even wider discretion in making law. Should we not be even more pissed at the leges who made the law in the first place?

As a big fan of jury nullification, that's the proper response. It is my belief that a jury should try both the facts and the law.
