Child pornography laws are supposed to be aimed at adults trafficking in the stuff, not 2 teenagers voluntarily sending each other naked pics of themselves.

Oh Termite, I agree 100%, but with how the laws are written, if I come across it when I do work (generally forensic work) on a system or device, my *only* safe harbor against possession charges are turning it over to the local police.

The number of times I've had to try to dissuade parents wanting a forensic analysis of their kids phones...

Thankfully the local State Attorney's attitude on this kind of thing is "Knock it the fuck off. Please. In case I don't get reelected."
