He can go anywhere, do nearly anything, with the auspices of a former POTUS. He will, if anything, have even more political clout than he does now because he doesn't have to represent the United State government directly any longer. The office of POTUS is as much a hobble as it is a boon because he has to represent certain images despite how much he may or may not like it. He still has to appear "presidential". Ex-presidents don't have that responsibility.
