Marana, AZ police dashcam footage: Suspect airborne!

Supposedly the guy was a one-man crime spree. Stole gun from Walmart, did a home invasion, shot at cops, and was now holding himself hostage in a standoff walking down the street.

Please discuss.

That's one way to 'sneak up' and disarm someone... I'd say that's a technique, but probably not doctrine.

I've never seen that technique taught, but under the guidance of meeting lethal force with lethal force, it certainly seemed effective

Jeff Cooper used to endorse a pamphlet entitled "drive to survive", authored by Curt Rich, one of his Gunsite disciples. IIRC, using a vehicle as a bludgeon was one of the techniques covered.

I've always considered the 28 million grain projectile to be my first line of defense while driving.

Ouch.

It's more effective than trying to shoot through the windshield (plus, it's MUCH easier to ensure you hit your target). ;)
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
