Presidential Masterdebaters

Post by Factfind »

I have been watching the Presidential debates tonight. Too bad there was no one in attendence who is Presidential. Obama is a sickening leftist and McCain is a crazy old coot.
It is just awful that these two are the best that America can present for arguably the most important office in the world.

I can't remember a time when there was so much disorder in American life and so little leadership to show us the way out. The dissembling, the lack of moral character, the lack of backbone...Our founding fathers must be spinning. I know I am.

I'll pray on it..it might help

I saw at least three chances for McCain to paste Obama with a knockout punch. If he had said he was going to cut out government waste by cutting out the D of Ed, he would have been cheered.

I thought McCain scored with the answer to the question about Israel, Obama didn't say much of anything.

Other than that, it was a terrific sedative.

As a comedian once said, "I feel like a Christian Scientist with appendicitis."

McCain is a Nationalist Democrat, and Obama is a Post-National Socialist.

The fact that here in California my vote won't count anyway doesn't make me sleep easier.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Most everything that has been said about the candidates has already been said by others.

I'd like to add though that if the Media was serious about having the debators staying true to the rules, each candidate would be hooked up to a timer and Taser, and shocked when they go over their minute. Politicians ALWAYS abuse time limits in these debates, and no mediator has the testicular fortitude to enforce the rules.

I was out in the garage, casting 10mm bullets when the debate came on the radio. It was quite motivational.

Yawn. Well, the least we can do is vote *against* Obama.

Meh. My expectations were low, and even those were not met. Obambi was the more "presidential" in his demeanor and presentation. McCain merely looked old and desperate. He was behind in the polls coming in (it showed in his "performance") and will probably lose ground on tonight's performance. One can only hope SarahCuda's attack campaign will educate enough voters to The Obamesiah's unsavory past to make a difference.

Workinwifdakids is spot on with, "McCain is a Nationalist Democrat, and Obama is a Post-National Socialist." I'll be holding my nose and voting for McCain in what will probably be a futile attempt at delaying socialism. It looks like the Dimmocrats will gain seats in the House and Senate and, although I suspect Madame Pelosi will be replaced as Speaker, they may have a filibuster-proof majority in the next Congress. If the White House resident is also Dimmicrat, stand by for a loud flushing sound..................

What they should add to the debates is give each candidate a loyal crew of webgeeks behind the curtain. Once per question, each candidate may call on the webgeeks to pull something up on a big screen to support their points.

And is it just me, or is this a huge flaw under Barack H. Obama's supposedly super-moderate health care proposal --
Under Obama, insurance companies would be made to give coverage to pre-existing conditions. So what is there to stop some jackass from staying off insurance until he actually feels like something serious may be happening, and expecting to pay only what everyone else pays? Wouldn't that force rates up across the board as the companies try to keep from hemorrhaging money on the big bills of people who avoid paying into the system until the last possible minute? Didn't Obama promise that people who are happy with their present coverage would not be screwed?
