I hate to say this, and I really hope that I'm wrong, but it looks like the Left is going to keep pushing until they get what they want. Don't think they understand what all that entails. It's not going to be pretty.

Let's hope they figure out that this is NOT a can of worms that they really want to open.

Doesn't sound like an assassination attempt on any one guy. Sounds like an attempted massacre like what that guy Breivik did at the summer camp.

He specifically asked which congressional team was practicing before he started shooting. He knew it was Republican congress-critters on the field when he opened up on them. That's an assassination attempt in my book.

My point was, he wasn't targeting Scalise specifically. He was a mass shooter, who wanted to kill Republicans. There's a difference. It was an attempted massacre, on as large a scale as he could manage, with only his incompetence combined with bravery and skill from guys who only had pistols preventing that.

So it seems the thread title is a little bit misleading, and (IMO) downplays the sheer evil involved.
