Like we needed a study to tell us this...

Cats ARE neurotic - and they're probably also trying to work out how to kill you

The headline pretty much states the gist of the article. Coming soon, study shows water is wet...
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Cat's don't have enough brain power to be neurotic. They are hard wired predators. Dogs can be neurotic, but that is caused mostly by owners not knowing the least thing about them. My HMAO.

No surprise to any cat owner. Or more accurately, anyone who has been owned by a cat.

Correct, cat's aren't neurotic, they're assholes.

HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat

I dunno. I'm not a cat person, and I've told our cats this many times, but it doesn't seem to sink in, somehow.

Dofus is convinced that I can't put my shoes on by myself, so he insists on sitting on my shoulder and supervising when I'm getting ready for work. (Some day, I'm going to try putting the left boot on the right foot, and see what he does.) And Dipstick insists on laying on my feet when I'm sitting on the Thinking Chair, apparently poised to spring into action the moment it looks like I'm about to fall in.

I humor them, it's seems to be safer that way.

I remember my Sister-in-Laws senior cat discovered it could open cabinet doors by pulling on them. They moved to a house and put in a cat door to give the cats access to the back yard. The Senior cat tried and tried to open that flapping cat door by pulling on the top of it.
Poor bastard.

Batcat does the cabinet and drawer thing. Until I caught him in the act I was wondering if we had a poltergeist.
