FIFY. Technically speaking bourbon can be produced anywhere, but when 95% of it is produced in Kentucky, you can pretty much discount the rest as 'craft' bourbon... quite possibly very good, but much more difficult to find than the KY varieties. Bulleit is my current favorite, followed by Blanton's and Woodford reserve. Jack is Tennessee whiskey. Just like all Bourbon only comes from [strike]Tennessee[/strike]Kentucky, and all Champagne only comes from a certain region in France.
As for the governorship of Mexico, I think the annexation might lead Gov. White to try some of the better tequilas. Might also make them more available, which is not a bad thing. Tres Generaciones is particularly good stuff if you can find it.
