She's a juvenile red-tailed hawk. Trapped her out of my truck during the last couple minutes of work (one of the perks of my job doing wildlife control is that I'm *supposed* to be trapping things on the clock).

I had my last red-tail, Valkyrie, for two hunting seasons, but lost her training up for this year. She's still out there but she's gone wild at this point. I see her every couple of days, but unless she'll come down to a trap (unlikely, since that's how I got her), she'll stay wild. Mostly I just want to get the gear off of her feet.

So far I like the new hawk. She's aggressive and confident....I have a feeling she's going to be a really good time to fly. Every bird is different, even within the same species....I like a hawk with a little fire! She needs a name yet.

There's a pic without the hood. She's taming down nicely.
