Super Bowl thoughts

Post by Rod »

National anthem was a 6.5 on a 1 - 10 scale, commercials looked more like politically correct crap put out by the government. I DID like the Fiat Viagra commercial though. Half time show was boring, understand it took so long one of the players got undressed, showered, and suited up before they had to be on the field. Second half, more of the same, only two commercials worth a damn (pigs CAN fly!), last 90 seconds was better than the other 58 1/2 minutes. THAT should have been how the whole game went.

Anymore, I watch the National Anthem, and if it sucks, I find something else to do. This year's didn't absolutely suck, but I've heard it performed better by grade-school kids. The game was almost as exciting as watching one wrestler.

I watched Swamp People on the History channel. Was there a football game last night? I heard the rumor but didn't bother to investigate. I did take the grandkids to a local military museum yesterday.

I was too busy manhandling my new gun safe into position to care about Deflategate.

Never really cared about the NFL, unless I can latch on to one particular player with a good story. Even then, my interest is temporary. The only thing that held my interest this year was former University of Louisville QB, Teddy Bridgewater, winning Rookie of the Year.

Actually, a fairly decent game until the last minute or so of the fourth quarter, when Seattle kind of fell apart.

YMMV.

I thought for a Super Bowl, it was a very good game. The last Seattle play calling was absolutely retarded. You have a running back who is pretty sure to go 2 yards per carry. You have multiple downs from the 1 yd line and you PASS??? Over the MIDDLE??? in the RED ZONE??? really.

I thought most of the commercials were shlock. Fiat / Viagra was awesome.

Halftime show was good, but Great for the SuperBowl. Compared to Fergie, who was complete crap...

All in all it was mostly meh, but for the one game I watched all year. I got my monies worth.

This. When the man's nickname is "Beast Mode", give him the damn ball. You've got 3 shots to make it 1.5'...

I wasn't able to watch last night so I had the game recorded. Watched it this morning.
