Bedtime Story Privilege???

Post by skb12172 »

According to Professor Fucknuts, you are giving your kids an unfair advantage by reading to them.

Read the whole thing. His other ideas, such as banning private school and banning families outright, are just as nutty.

parents who read to their kids should be thinking about how they’re “unfairly disadvantaging other people’s children” by doing so.
Why yes, I do think about it. Somebody's gotta mow my kids' lawns.

So, she's also saying that no one should go to college until EVERYONE can go to college. Which means college professors are no longer needed and will need to find honest employment (like shoveling shit literally instead of figuratively perhaps?).

I didn't realize that the National Review did satire.
At one point, Swift even flirted with the idea of “simply abolishing the family” as a way of “solving the social justice problem” because “there would be a more level playing field” if we did, but ultimately concluded that “it is in the child’s interest to be parented” and that “parenting a child makes for what we call a distinctive and special contribution to the flourishing and well-being of adults.”
If that's not satire, I've never read satire.

Good!

And unlike "sending your child to an elite private school", this bit of "privilege" is free.

Perhaps we could get "Child Abuse" to include NOT reading to your children.

Is the professor in question, Adam Swift, any relation to Jonathan Swift?
