You have a shower, right? A bar of soap? Put your razor in the shower and shave there. Use the same soap you use to clean your butt. It's soap, which is a lubricant, and you have hot water, to soften the beard.

You don't need all those mamby-pamby cremes or lotions, or other sissy stuff. Shave in the shower like a man shaves. A mirror, you ask? Why do you need a mirror. I'm pretty sure you can find your face, even with your eyes closed.

Oh, geez!
I used to do it that way but as I have gotten older it had worked less and less well, resulting in razor burn and whatnot. If let things go I end up with this crazy ass wolfman beard that grows every which way and requires a multi step process to remove. I'm still learning though, and have a tendency to cut myself on my second pass. I found a place near me that sells a bunch of shaving stuff so I might head there just to see what they have.

Jered I am very sorry that your mobo did not work. I've had similar issues with video cards, hopefully they can make it right.

I've shipped it off, and bought a different make.

What did you get?

I am probably about to pull the trigger on this one:

I got this one.

From what I've read about the board in my OP, there are a fair number of people who have issues with it.

I've bought three mobos in the last two or three years. The first was an MSI, and worked fine once I quit using the buggy control center software. The second was a Gigabyte that I bought to replace the MSI. I never was able to get it to boot, but threw it in when I sold that desktop to a friend. He has since put it in a different machine, and has had no issues with it. The current machine is running an ASUS Sabertooth, and is stable and trouble-free since day one. In between the first desktop and the current one, I bought a higher-end MSI gaming laptop. That machine has had an intermittent blue-screen problem ever since I got it, but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything else, just the occasional blue screen. Mrs. O finally got sick of me cussing the blue screens, and told em to just go ahead and build another desktop. I LIKE this machine. Loaded. Fast. Stable. Did I mention loaded? :D It cost me a few bucks, but it was definitely worth it. My friend is still running its predecessor, with no issues. I used some of the same parts in this newest build, but changed a few things too. I keep trying to talk the Mrs. into letting me build a desktop for her, but she still likes her laptop and the Surface Pro 3.

I am about to buy two...

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128707

The former will be for my teen's gaming rig, the latter for mine.

Anecdote, not data: Since 1985 or so, I have never had a single problem with an Intel-brand motherboard. I have had plenty of hardware and software problems with non-Intel-brand MBs. I therefore now buy only Intel-brand MBs. It's a PITAr getting them here, but worth the extra hassle IMHO. Of course, I couldn't care less about warp speed performance or gaming, so Intel hardware is just fine for me, but it might not be bleeding-edge enough for those with other needs...

Denis, it's my understanding that Intel is no longer selling motherboards.

That's too bad. They made good ones. I haven't built a PC from parts in the past three or four years.

These days, I just buy an ASUS box and put Linux on it. That works with a minimum of fuss - from opening the carton to functional system and productive work takes an hour or less.

Cella is the shiznit, and if you don't mind the smell (You'll like it or hate it), Arko is probably the best bang for the buck you'll find anywhere.
