I actually llooked into building an actual rocketpack at one time, but they're fairly expensive to build, have a very short flight time, and are extremely unforgiving of operator mistakes..

The hydro packs in these are somewhat popular invarious tropical resorts.

Shenanigans.

But they're missing the marketing. You not only sell people on the idea, when they lift off, you have them hover over their cars, and power wash them at the same time.

I saw someone playing with one of these on south Lake Union in Seattle last summer. It is tethered to a jet ski which provides the high pressure water. It looks like a short trip to a serious head/neck injury or death if you're not careful.
