Words are so inadequate at times like this, and I don't know the Du Toits well at all. May they find strength and peace.
Well said. My condolences.

We had our ups and downs, but I'm better for having known them both. This was terrible and she did not deserve such a fate, but as one of you said, thank God it was quick, painless, and she was surrounded by loved ones. My deepest condolences.

Is there anyway we can express our thoughts to Kim directly, or where he would see them?

Or would he even want to hear from us?
Curmudgeonly & Skeptical has a thread about Connie and Kim, you can post a comment there. Kim and Rodger (host of the blog) are friends.

Kim's page is still working, there are instructions there on how to email him:

If anyone wishes to send something physical, let me know. I can aggregate and forward to Kim.

That sucks.

Never had any personal interactions with them but I always enjoyed reading Kim's thoughts on things.

And from that I knew she meant a lot to him.

Condolences sent via his site.

*sigh* We knew it was coming, but that doesn't seem to make it any easier.

RIP, Connie.

As you all know. This strikes very close to home for me.

I am both horrified and happy for Kim And Connie

Horrified that they had to be separated, horrified that Kim has lost his wife - his muse - his best friend...

Happy, that since it was going to happen, at least it happened in a less painful, less drawn out manner. It basically, boils down to less suck. That doesn't make it good, it just makes it slightly less horrible.

I saw her the week before she looked great. But that's the nature of these things, there is often a rally before the end. I'll pass on your regards when I see kim Sunday and help him get the house and stuff sorted.

You are a good friend and doing great work. I don't know how many people told me at the celebration of life, that call me whenever, for whatever... When I did need help, a grand total of 4 people helped. None of them were the loud mouth promisers.
